There you will see several different kinds of water features, Pond & Pondless, 11 waterfalls, 6 streams, 15' x 50' Synthetic Putting Green with Fringe & 2 regulation holes, hundreds of plants and flowers, interlocking paver & retaining wall displays, & our collection of installed PaverArt.
Bring some Cheerios to hand feed our friendly Koi fish who will greet you by the stone bridge that crosses over one of our streams. Some of the Koi are over 20" long. Don?t worry, they don't have any teeth. The Koi fish will suck the food from your hand like a vacuum cleaner. It will be an interaction with fish that the average person has never experienced. Great for kids & adults alike! (Note: If you bring younger children, please be sure they do not throw any rocks at the fish because it can possible severely injure or kill the fish.)

Since 1969 but the IRS discovered me on January 1,1976 so that is when I became a "legal" business.
What is your primary product or service?

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Started in 1969 as the neighborhood kid doing odd jobs. Became a legal business in 1976. I always had an eye for design & style when it came to landscaping and grew that into a passion that still drives me today over 47 + years later. I enjoy creating projects that both the client and myself are proud of. Seeing the smiles on the faces of the clients as we turn over the completed project to them keeps me going. I am always searching for new and different ideas that I can incorporated into my projects.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have been in business longer than most other companies. That alone speaks volumes. It also means that are prices are market based. If we were too high, no one would hire us, and if we were too low, we would be out of business. TJB-INC has created 1,000's of landscape projects over the years. We make sure the client is happy with our work before we leave the site.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location in Hamden. We have no plans on expanding. This way we can control our quality of service by only taking on what we can handle. If fact, we have several employees that have worked on our team for over 25 years. By maintaining our size, we have been able to stay busy through all of the economic swings. We provide quality products workmanship for a fair price.

We are located @ 12 Crestway - Hamden, CT. 06514-1141 Go to www.TJB-INC.com for directions to our building and outdoor Display Gardens & Ponds. We are 5 minutes from exit 10 (Route 40) off I-91. Follow Route 40 to the end and take a right on Route 10 North. At the third traffic light, there will be a Dunkin Donuts at the corner. Take a left turn onto Sherman Avenue. Go 1.5 miles and on your right will be our street Crestway. We are the 2nd building on the left with all of the landscaping. Park in our lot or on the street.

Which areas do you service?
Our service area varies depending upon the services required. Snow Removal is offered in Hamden, New Haven & parts of North Haven only. Weekly maintenance area is Greater New Haven. Lawn chemical treatments (traditional & organic) are offered along the shoreline, Trumbull to Madison and inland to Cheshire. One time construction projects are offered throughout Southern New England. We will travel outside this area but must add on additional charges for transportation costs. We have completed projects in New Hampshire, New Jersey, Illinois, & more!
